Your at-home care practices are essential to ensure a long life for your product. 
Please read below for specifics on how best to care for all of your special Bella Notte pieces. 

 

How to Care for Your Bella Notte Products

Pre-wash
  • Pre-treat stains — apply a small amount of Common Good Detergent to the stain, and let sit for 30 minutes before washing.
  • Separate by color/fabric.
  • Close buttons, ties, and zippers when applicable. 
  • Place delicates, including products with lace and Linen Whisper, in a garment bag. 
Wash
Dry
  • Tumble dry on low heat or line dry.
    • Remove promptly for best results.
  • De-wrinkling:
    • If you need to dewrinkle, dry on low heat for 10 minutes and remove promptly.
    • Some, but not all, of our products can be ironed and/or steamed. Please see below for specifics. 

    • For pieces that have deeper creases, which are common with plush fabrics such as Silk Velvet or Silk Velvet Quilted, and are often caused by the fibers being compressed during shipping or by being folded and stored for long periods of time:

        • The best solution is to wash and dry according to our Wash Instructions above—washing and drying will help lift the fibers and revive its original form.

 

Care for Down Duvet and Pillow Inserts

  • For best results, professionally launder your down inserts according to instructions on the are label. 

 

Known Causes of Damage to Your Bella Notte Products

  • Never use the following products because they will break down the fibers and/or damage the product:
    • Bleach or detergents with whiteners or brighteners (this includes most traditional detergents).
    • Standard stain removers.
    • Face care products with bleaching effects, like those containing benzoyl peroxide.
    • Water softener laundry products
  • Do not dry clean or professionally press.
  • Do not over-dry or use high heat.
  • Do not overload your washing machine. 
  • Do not wash your Bella Notte products with clothing, because zippers, hooks, velcro, etc. may cause excess friction or snagging. 
  • Do not use top-loading washing machines with agitators, especially for large pieces. 
  • Some, but not all, of our products can be ironed. Please see below for specifics.
  • Avoid direct sunlight on your product to minimize fading.
